Position Overview

Balance Point Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing in Fort Collins, CO is looking to hire a full-time Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of day-to-day office and field operations.  Balance Point has been serving the Northern Colorado area for 25+ years and we are expanding our team.  As the Operations Manager, you will work as part of a dynamic, passionate and growth-oriented team.

LOCATION: For Collins, CO

COMPENSATION: $125,000.00 per year plus bonus

JOB TYPE: Full-time

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday; Weekend availability

EXPERIENCE: HVAC: 10 years (Preferred)

Duties & Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will have P&L responsibility for the operations at Elkhorn and will report directly to the General Manager.  In this role, the candidate will work directly with Comfort Consultants, Installation Technicians and Service Technicians to oversee, support and coordinate the completion of work to achieve outstanding customer service.  Successful outcomes will be attained by working with the General Manager as well as field employees to deliver results through setting goals and KPIs.  Coordination and ability to manage team members successfully will be critical to the success.

 

  • Lead and develop a team of 25+ in a high growth working environment
  • Assist with managing and overseeing day-to-day field operations and schedules
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring of field personnel
  • Lead employee training initiatives and progression of the team – develop and implement training programs
  • Establish and foster strong relationships between different departments
  • Take calls for escalated customer questions / issues and provide solutions
  • Assisting with coordination between the field and office staff to support operating efficiency
  • Establish and review monthly and annual KPIs, goals and financial results
  • Planning and budgeting activities to include all functional areas of the business: manpower, marketing, sales and vehicles
  • Work alongside other mangers to solve problems, deliver best-in-class work for customers and progress the company forward

Requirements

  • 10+ years of management experience
  • 10+ years of HVAC field experience and strong technical background
  • Experience with management and conflict resolution
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and complicate work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand company financial information and KPIs
  • Strong cultural fit – customer and employee-centered, team player and a desire to grow
